Ummaid Bhawan PalaceUmaid Bhawan Palace, located in Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India. is one of the world’s largest private residences of His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji of Jodhpur. This palace was named after HH Maharaja Ummaid Singh Ji, grandfather of the present owner HH Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji.
This Palace has total 347 rooms and serves as the principal residence of the Jodhpur royal family.
A part of the palace also houses a museum. And another part of the palace is managed by Taj Hotels. Construction of this palace Was started in 1928 and completed in 1943.
Mehran Garh FortMehrangarh, located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is one of the largest forts in India.
Built around 1460 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feet above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls.
Inside its boundaries, there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. A winding road leads to the fort from the city below. The imprints of the impact of cannonballs fired by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate.
